I am very excited to announce that I am a new member of the National League of American Pen Women, Inc. as part of the Arkansas Pioneer Women Branch. I attended my first meeting this past Saturday and really enjoyed having the opportunity to meet the other women. All are accomplished writers and authors, and I am looking forward to learning from them and growing as a writer myself. Our meeting focused mainly on the beginning planning stages for the Arkansas Writer's Conference in 2020. I attended the one in 2019 and found the info presented to be helpful.
If you are not familiar with the NLAPW, take a moment to visit their website. It is one of the oldest organizations in the United States dedicated to promoting women of the arts. It was founded in 1897 and has had many notable members such as Georgia O'Keefe, Helen Keller, Ruth Bell Graham, and Eleanor Roosevelt. I feel very honored to be a part of this group.
