I recently traveled and spent some time in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area visiting a close friend of mine, and she introduced me to Luci's at the Orchard. Let's just say that I fell instantly in love with the place! What a gem in the desert. This adorable hot spot boasts an ice cream parlor, cafe, splash pad, and outdoor seating in a beautiful shady area surrounded by greenery. It was such a relaxing atmosphere to be in. We decided the spend the morning here while we each worked on projects (mine being my current novel). I grabbed a hazelnut latte and we set up at a table outside. They have free Wifi which makes this place very convenient to get some work done. Luci's offered plenty of people watching in a trendy setting, and the staff was attentive and excellent. Not only can you grab delicious food and coffee from the cafe, you can pick up gift items, jewelry, and baked goods. I came home wishing we had a Luci's or something equivalent! It would become my favorite to spot to write. If you are in the Phoenix area, be sure you stop by and enjoy your time at Luci's at the Orchard!
